Using EEG Data to see changes in player motivation in VR

A research project that I headed at my university. The idea is building upon the immense research done on player motivation started by Bartle, and seeing how this effects player in Virtual Reality. There is much research out there on what kinds of players play games, and what motivates them. Even companies have started adapting this data into how they create their products. But there isn’t much out there on VR player motivation. I thought it would be interesting to look into it and use EEG data as a means to provide valid data to changes in motivation.
